Are notfications broken for anyone else, whenever i try to load them it just spits out "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading www.fruityrumpus.com (see the browser console for more information)." and when i try to see what the error is the console says "Uncaught DOMException: String contains an invalid character"

Wishlist: toggleable setting to see signatures in full, no scrollbar. Or at least increase the max height.

I just wanna see all the pretty art and maybe add blinkies and stamps to mine

the ability to follow topics, so any time one gets a new reply you get notified and you don't have to fish out the same thread over and over any time you want to see updates.

idk if this was intended but this is the only website ive ever been on where clicking anywhere that isnt the reload button won't update the website automatically. if i want to see if anyone posted new messages/threads after leaving the fraf tab for a while then i'd need to reload or exit out of it and open a new tab. not a big deal just seems like some sort of oversight

There should probably be a Homestuck animated pilot/series section under Homestuck and affiliated works specifically so newcomers can discuss the pilot without being spoiled, or y'all could wait until it hopefully gets enough views to get a season 1 announcement. Just an idea I had since I think new fans should have a spoiler-free area to discuss the cartoon & theorize about it amongst themselves.

Thread titles and some other things get HTML escaped twice (> displays as >)

You can guess why I'm here. lol Randomly logged out due to site error and my AUDHD ass forgot to write the password down because I'm used to sites having a "forgot password" option. 😭 None of the ones I've tried have worked so far, but I can prove on video, over text, or in a call that I can access both signup emails idk how to go about resolving this until a forgot password option exists though. 💔

Aside from the aforementioned ability to subscribe to threads and be notified if someone replies to one, I also would like to request spoiler markdown (censoring and/or hiding via dropdown). Just helps for a more detailed, spoilerrific post I wanted to type

site crashes when clicking 'edit profile' button

The current font hurts my eyes to look at for longer than a few minutes, especially combined with the light background color. I would really appreciate having a way to fix this.

Potential options for doing that: having a dark mode, having an option to view the forums in a bigger font size or in a different easier-to-see font, or changing the current font to a version with slightly thicker lettering. Thanks for your consideration!

Perhaps the ability to quote or otherwise reply to previous posts?

Oh, just thought about this:

SPOILER TAGS! They are fundamental on a forum like this! Multiple times already, I wanted to develop some analysis about Homestuck or other works and I just could not, because there is no option to hide part of your text.

It would also fit pretty well in the general pseudo-MSPA aesthetics, because Homestuck popularized logs to click to unfold.

In the profile dropdown menu, the "Log out" option doesn't turn your cursor into a pointy finger when you hover over it. Maybe some other buttons don't do this either, but I'm not sure. This css fixed it for me:

Also, the formatting buttons appear to be activated after moving your cursor to a spot with no formatting using the mouse, they only change to look correct after keyboard input.

this is a silly request and might be a lot of work to implement, but i think oekaki would be a really fun addition to the forums!

Hello, I appear to be unable to edit my profile at all, any attempt to access the EditProfile screen gets me this:

Same error on Chrome. Has anyone else experienced this?

Please add alt text to all buttons with symbols: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, unknown and picture. Also allow link embedding.

I think it's an issue involving the "show age on profile" checkbox; I had to keep it checked to access the Edit Profile page
