Look at my profile. Look at it. I like classpects. I write about classpects. I like doing thought exercises about figuring out how hypothetical classpects might work. Remember those old tumblr blogs that just explain different classpects that get submitted? This is that. I want to be that. Reply with one and I'll try and give my own take on their powers and stuff and other people can too ^^

Alright! So, I'll get to filling out a couple or so requests soon, I think doing two per night and more if I feel up for it will be a good schedule to keep myself on to avoid burnout. There will be a few days here soon where I may or may not have to take a break since I'll be dogsitting and can't bring my pc, depends on how well I can format FRAF posts on mobile.

Anyway, I decided to finally organize requests on a spreadsheet and make it a bit easier for people to see what requests have and haven't been done without having to look through dozens of replies. I was also just curious about keeping track of which classes and aspects get the most and least requests. Very neat to see that one of every aspect has been requested but there's still one class that's gotten none. Sad though, Sylphs are really cool, if I hadn't deemed myself a Page of Space I would've gone for a Sylph of Hope.

Also if you noticed I miscounted something, please let me know lol. I think I've got it all right though.

Knight: Someone who serves and protects their aspect, and serves and protects others and themselves through their aspect. This is accomplished by either using it as a weapon or making more of it, as there usually not very much of their aspect in their party.

Breath: Wind, freedom, particularly narrative freedom. Not being tied down. Going along with the flow of events, not being an obstacle to a story

A Knight of Breath would simply be someone who fights to preserve and protect their sessions freedom. If there are any obstacles holding their teammates back from accomplishing their goals, The Knight will be able to utilize wind in their combat to figure out a solution. They would be someone who's extremely difficult to capture or hold down, as most breath players probably would be.

They would be an extremely important player, as a Knights aspect is not only usually lacking in it, but the lack of that aspect is what defines the sessions greatest difficulties (beta kids had a reckoning that starts super early, beta trolls were in opposing teams and the teams themselves had a bunch of infighting, and many alpha trolls were out of their fucking minds). A lack of Breath would mean that there's some kind of oppressive or even narrative force that holds back their teammates from progressing. This could mean many things, but particularly severe examples would be if they were stuck in a null session, or had a carapacian that screwed up the way the game mechanics in Skaia, Prospit, and Derse work. Doesn't have to be a Jack Noir, if Warweary Villein (aka The Mayor) had actually succeeded with his uprising that got int interrupted by Jack, that still would have messed with the beta kids game.

They would be much more combat focused than an Heir, and could probably deal more damaging attacks in exchange for having to constantly fight for their freedom, rather than it being something that comes naturally to them. The wind will never save a Knight of Breath, it must be something that they learn how to use.

An extremely powerful Knight of Breath wouldn't gain new abilities, but the abilities they already had would be an extremely terrifying force to be reckoned with. Maybe they could even fight the author of the comic? This was meant to be a joke but I guess characters in Homestuck do do that, but a Knight of Breath would only fight the author if the author was intentionally screwing their characters over and trying to give them a bad ending, I guess.

hahaha... yes... more sylphs......

seriously though this is like an ongoing project thing so i don't mind the queue getting to be super fuckin huge as long as people dont mind having to wait a long time for their requests to be finished

NEW RULE: I would appreciate if people only requested two classpects at a time, and wait for those requests to be finished before sending another one. Nothing against people that've already done this of course, I just think it'd be polite so i can get to what others have sent in quicker.

I can't really enforce this as most people only skim the replies, but for those who see it, it'd just be appreciated if you followed it is all

Knight: Someone who serves and protects their aspect, and serves and protects others and themselves through their aspect. This is accomplished by either using it as a weapon or making more of it, as there is not only very little of their aspect in their party, but the lack of that aspect defines the biggest struggle of that session.

Heart: Basically soul, the essence of someone's being, and someone's emotions. It's speculated that it's also related to intuition. Heavily associated and likely directly tied to romance and relationships.

So, I think from now on for a knight request I'll start with the last part in the blurb. A Knight of Heart's game session would have very little heart in it. This could mean that their team's hearts aren't really into playing the game, which would be the most fitting interpretation. Their team would suffer because they lack any motivation, and perhaps became apathetic after their previous world came to an end. They would just be dicking around with the alchemiter, not making any progress, or maybe not doing anything at all.

However it could also be that the romantic relationships between different players are so incredibly toxic or tumultuous, or they're so infatuated with each other, that it's impeding the progress of the whole game. This would be fitting for a session that doesn't actually have that many characters. Finally, since Heart is probably related to intuition and gut feelings, it could just mean the players all have shitty intuition, but this seems the least likely.

A Knight of Heart would have similar combat abilities Dirk, and what truly defines them as being of Heart comes from the reasons they fight and the ways it affects the story. They would fight in order to motivate others, or their fighting would inadvertently motivate others. Protecting and the feelings and relationships of those around them would be important to them, meaning a Knight of Heart might end up being an extremely aggressive therapist friend, who uses action to get people to knock off their shit. If someone was being an abusive partner, a Knight of Heart would beat their ass.

As long as we're bringing up Sylphs, I'd love to know what a Sylph of Heart would be like.

You have been invited to partake in the GAME OF GODS. YOU are JUNE EGBERT, taking your seat at the BLUE SIDE of the table, and we are all VERY PROUD OF YOU. Your opponents are THE LATE NAGITO KOMAEDA, FUNKO POP VRISKA SERKET, and SOME GUY IN A HAT.

Mage: Someone who guides others with knowledge of their aspect. They have a talent for hearing their exiles exceptionally well like Seers do. Rather than gaining knowledge using their aspect, mages will gain knowledge directly from it, and understand the rules of it. The differing methods of gaining knowledge may blur into each other a little depending on the aspect. But mages will always have an emphasis on understanding how their aspect actually works and avoiding or gaining it, or in a few cases, it's inevitability. They lack their aspect within themselves in exchange for protection from their aspect.

Blood: Bonds, trust, unity, and connections with others. Leadership and inspiration. They would be protagonists in an rpg, and friendship is their strength.

I'll get the part that I was initially the most unsure about out of the way first. Mages lack their aspect or avoid it in exchange for protection from it, given that Meulin was a Mage of Heart and avoids any real lasting heartbreak or even severe trauma from the incident that made her deaf, and Sollux is a Mage of Doom but somehow kept on avoiding complete death. I don't think that a Mage of Blood would lack bonds as a whole, given that would make their entire classpect kind've impossible to fulfill. However, I think the right way of looking at it is that while they can guide others, they are nowhere near fit for or have no interest in an actual leadership position. The protection they gain from that is simply that they can tell whenever the person in the leadership position is corrupt or untrustworthy, and guide others with that knowledge as well.

They would act more like the advisor to a leader than anything else. Their advice would be exceptionally useful but for things like combat, they wouldn't be able to make plans or help boost their teams morale. But, they would lead the team leader towards knowing how to inspire everyone, because the Mage would help them strengthen their bonds. They would also know when there's someone untrustworthy that they should not make a pact with, or at least treat with a lot of caution, similar to how Terezi was able to tell that Jack Noir wasn't someone Karkat should trust completely, even though they still used their pact with him and his gang to their advantage.

They would have a deep understanding of their friendships and bonds with their teammates and anyone else that they know. They would probably help others make friends, like if there was a player in their session that wasn't particularly close to any of the others, the Mage of Blood would guide them towards friendship.

I feel like this could be more fleshed out in a way I can't figure out at the moment, and might make an addendum for it. But I also feel like this is a really simple to explain class, blood players tend to lack combat abilities that are actually related to their classpect, except in cases where they're fit for leadership positions and utilize their bonds for fighting, and a mage is exempt from that ability. So it probably just feels shorter cause of that?

Later today I go dog-sitting and I'm unsure if I'll be able to post much more until Sunday so I'm trying to do these a bit earlier than usual.

So while we wait, I did some math.

12 aspects x 14 classes = 168 total potential classpect combos

Subtracting the 8 humans, 12 alternian trolls, 2 cherubs, and 2 beforus trolls who are actual characters (Meenah and Aranea)brings us down to 144 (which is coincidentally how many combos there are with the master classes excluded)

We currently have 24 analyses done, which means there are, uh, 120 to go

Good luck1

i have not actually thought super much about the classes so im slow on commenting in depth on your analyses but maybe you find them intresting anyway!

Almost a week worth of dogsitting and I got paid less money than the cost of food for me and my girlfriend while we were doing it. Holy shit always ask what the payment is going to be before accepting a job, doesn't matter if you've dogsat for them before or if they're a family friend; ALWAYS ask what the payment is going to be before saying you'll do it for the love of god. At least the dog was nice, I didn't know alaskan husky's were that soft TvT

Glad to see a moderate amount of requests since I've been gone, happy that there's new ones and also happy that the queue is still reasonable in size at 13. Which, according to @libraryseraph's reply, means there are still 107 unrequested classpects! My goal is to eventually get through every single one, and dogsitting break aside, I've been making good progress! I'll make a follow up topic after this one is (officially) completed and redo any that I feel like I could've done better, especially if we get some new insight on less elaborated classes in beyond canon (please please please). New insight from bc is why the blurb for Maids was changed from "keeping their aspect tidy" to "keeping their aspect under control." Fits better for how both Aradia and Jane interact with their aspects. Ifykyk.

Anyway, I'll get some more analysis's done soon after checking out @griseousaconite's topic. Thank you all so much again for the support I've gotten! I never actually expected to have the potential to get through all 168 classpects, but because of the consistent requests I think I'll reach that goal some day! The countdown for how many are left will begin when I finally have nothing left but the main characters classpects to get to. Those posts will be wayyyy longer than normal cause I can't just be speculating shit with them and gotta lock in. Reminder that dancestors and mostly irrelevant characters classpects can be requested in the meantime.

Last post on this thread will be me just sharing all of the class and aspect blurbs and coming up with bullshit blurbs for the Gent, Nick, and Waste joke classes. No one is allowed to request any of those until every single other actual classpect request has been completed. I swear to GOD if you request "Nick of Cage" or "Waste of Breath" before all the REAL classpects are done I'm ******* ****** and finishing this topic in a fucking dream bubble.

If you actually took the time to read this update that means you're a real fan and ily and I missed you ^v^

Seer: Someone who understands how their aspect works and learns things through their aspect. They are their party's strategists, having instinctual knowledge of their alternate timeline selves which they use to keep their party from making mistakes. They also have the talent of being able to hear their exiles more clearly than most.

Blood: Bonds, trust, unity, and connections with others. Leadership and inspiration. Many blood players would be protagonists in an rpg, and friendship is their strength.

I'd had every intention of doing this right after Mage of Blood because it's a wonderful example of the differences between Mages and Seers and ended up being busy earlier than I'd expected. Highly recommend that you read the last analysis before this one as it will also serve as an addendum to the Mage of Blood analysis.

The one thing Mages and Seers have in common is understanding how their aspect works. Mage's focus on the rules of the aspect in a literal sense, they guide others to follow those rules and inform them when they've broken them, and that can easily be applied to the description of Blood that I've given above, so I don't think I need to elaborate very heavily. They know how to form bonds and keep them from breaking.

Seers are more prone to understanding how to work around and break the rules of their aspect. A Seer of Blood will essentially know how to manipulate bonds and get away with lying while still retaining trust. This could obviously be applied to someone who's good at keeping a victim in an abusive relationship, but it could also be applied to someone who's acting as a double agent of some sort. Seers of Blood would know exactly how to regain trust from someone, and a Seer of Blood at their full potential could regain trust even when it by all means has been irreparably broken.

While a Mage of Blood will have their knowledge of blood come intuitively, a Seer of Blood is one who gathers information by forming bonds with others. A Mage, one who gains knowledge directly from their aspect, is one who builds their intuition off of the bonds they've already formed, as well as from observing the bonds of others, and observing the triumphs and mistakes of leaders. Instead of forming bonds to gain knowledge, they gain knowledge through examining preexisting bonds.

So, a Seer of Blood is someone who gets information directly from forming bonds and trust with others. It's why they would work so well as a double agent. They know how to manipulate people into giving them the information that they and their team need. People tell them secrets and intimate knowledge because they see a Seer of Blood as trustworthy and as a source of authority on things.

Unlike a Mage of Blood, a Seer of Blood would absolutely be the leader of their team, in major part because of things I've already mentioned, like their ability to get people to trust them and see them as an authority. Part of what gives them their ability to strategize is that their teammates trust them, even if they only trust them to know how to take down an enemy.

Finally, as Seers retain knowledge from their alternate selves in doomed timelines, a Seer of Blood simply has knowledge on the bonds they had in other timelines and can use that knowledge to their advantage.

Heir: Someone who inherits their aspect by being given it, and/or representing/becoming their aspect, physically or metaphorically. They start out with their aspect affecting and controlling them on its own will, being saved or helped by their aspect when they’re in trouble, and eventually learn to consciously use it as they “inherit” it.

Hope: This one is self explanatory. But also tied to belief in general. If you believe in something hard enough it might happen. They would be magicians in an rpg, as they have an immense amount of magical power. Holiness and angels are also representative of this aspect.

This is a classpect that is uh. Super fucking powerful. Neat!

So an Heir of Hope at their full potential would almost end up as a religious figure, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Heirs start out being affected by their aspect without their input, so how would that work for hope?

I personally believe that this would come about in the form of really lucky coincidences happening for them. Basically, any time the Heir is in or trying to protect others from extreme danger, whatever big thing they're hoping will happen will happen, and they'll be able to save themselves or others in what looks like a legit miracle. Not one of those fake fucking miracles Gamzee talks about.

The baby miracles that they perform in the beginning of their journey are ones they don't have control over, and may work as a very mild and forgiving monkeys paw situation. For example, if they're thrown by a large imp and are desperate for something to lessen their impact or break their fall, they could just end up in a huge pile of mud or something else that's gross but still protects them.

As the Heir of Hope goes on, they become a source of inspiration to their planets consorts, their teammates, and the Prospitian army during the final battle. They learn how to inspire others, and inspire others without even trying. What makes this almost a broken class is that they function as a less powerful Muse but without the dying. They accomplish things and important tasks in the game on their journey that should be impossible. They very consistently perform miracles, on accident at first, and eventually on purpose. Hope wells within them so much that they can accomplish anything they want, and anyone on their side gains hope by proxy. Hence why I mentioned them being similar to a religious figure. The religious undertones of the hope aspect come from the fact that more than anything, Hope is belief that something is possible no matter what.

If me mentioning that a hope class is broken feels familiar, that's cause many of them are. It's canonically stated to be one of the most powerful aspects. Hope players are a cheat code for making something happen in the story that by all means shouldn't be possible. They're really cool.
