In itself, no, but Gio was a proud member of harassment campaigns (at the same time, tied together) with more than one team member - I was there and saw all this shit go down on twitter and the reddit. multiple team members after leaving requested to not be brought up or named because they've had enough bullshit and people (like gio) pointing mobs at them looking for "answers" that ultimately had nothing to do with them. but people wanted someone that they could touch to harass, which is the same reason that Gio ultimately tells people to stop supporting HSBC/FRAF (even though their money is entirely separate from Hussie), because those are the people he can reach and make their lives harder. It's the same shit all over again, except this time Gio wrote his blog post in the middle of a hissy fit after screwing himself out of a deal that would actually give him distinction and relevancy beyond his own failing blog & patreon, so now the mask is off.

do you have any evidence (screenshots or links will suffice) linking Gio to twitter harassment campaigns? I’ve seen people make this claim several times and no one has backed it up.

If you and your friends who were being harassed and made to feel unsafe weren't taking screenshots and documenting everything then that's on you actually.

Especially considering part of all that shit was discords getting deleted and accounts being wiped.

i feel as though I may have a completely separate perspective from a majority of people due to some of the social circles I was in, where people such as Aysha, Kate, Lalo, Sarah Zedig (who I must say did also do youtube videos and in a kinder world the sarah z homestuck video would be a collab with sarah zedig instead because itd be funnyyyyy), etc etc

and so in my eyes the harassment that the people who were working on things when the videos came out, not those old studios that closed or the breakdown of communications with TOG, but the people currently working on things who were inescapably harassed about it and had their reputations sullied after the video dropped is the bigger issue for me than what the video said about hussie in specific

and i think taking longer (and not yaknow trying to hit a 4/13 release for teh lulz) and doing more thorough research and talking to the people involved from the jump could have gone a long way in preventing a lot of frustrations, misunderstandings, anger, and so on

if you have no evidence linking Gio to any harassment claims, that seems like hearsay or a malicious lie to me.

Also for what it's worth, TOG did work on Act 7, but WP provides evidence that this was separate from the kickstarter agreement and had an understanding with TOG that it would not affect Hiveswap or the funds for it. Hussie tried to meet with TOG for nearly a year to assess their progress, and they avoided her. If you want to check all this shit again, I think that one hiveswap tumblr has the link to the post. But like it patently did not confirm what the Sarah Z video or Gio blog post claimed? The one thing I'll give there is the sudden dismissal of WP NYC, which was bad and a sign of Hussie mismanaging the project. However, mismanaging a project is not like, a crime? That happens with plenty of videogame kickstarters. It sucks, but it's not Hussie being an evil abuser. Also, the WP response once again alleges that the information comes from a bad source, a source that was dangerous to people, and that spreading this information is damaging. Whether you believe that or not, that is a very valid reason from Hussie's own perspective to not want those articles up.

There is basically nothing to show that Hussie like, what, deliberately lost the funds? Abused people? The worst you can really accuse him of is being a bad businessman.

as someone who was around when that drama was going on, my impression is that the snake solutions team you reference was harassed by an unguided mob of twitter and 4chan users who did not care for their personalities or direction that homestuck 2 was going on (yiffany being introduced in particular made a lot of people angry), and Gio had little do with it. nor does it make much sense that Gio would be the reason for this harassment when most of those people had never worked on Hiveswap during the time period gios article focuses on.

At a certain point were just talking around the troll and I get that, but the fascination with 'evidence' kind of gets me because like, I'm no big city lawyer, but to my understanding in most jurisdictions repeated corroborated witness testimony from several relevant and present individuals, counts as evidence

testimony generally needs to describe something concrete. what inciting words did Gio say that led to the harassment occurring? can what he said be corroborated with other witnesses? and so on. the claims I’ve seen for this have been uselessly vague.

Do you not think gio's constant criticisms of the team in his trademark extremely inflammatory manner, calling them abusive and implying horrible things about them, contributed to that at all? So you not think his constant hounding of the authors and attempts to infiltrate private discord servers to dig up information on them, along with the very pushy and uncomfy way he's been seen to talk to fem people, had anything to do with people's discomfort and unease?

Also, before a mod jumps in again, for all the folks defending, recall that the original director of HS2 does not want to be named in this even for defense. That's all.

You know this kind of ties back to what I was saying about how Hussie's lawyers backing away from this situation isn't indicative of it being true or whatever, because there's a bunch of reasons for why libel cases fail. Most people are very aware of the harassment campaign that happened, but the internet is unfortunately not actually "forever" and things can get lost pretty easily. The objective reality of what happened and what most people in the Homestuck fandom remember VS the physical or digital proof of these things happening contradict each other because we don't actually have an accurate account OF what happened. No one was archiving this, and the people involved wanted to just step back after it all went down.

And even if people were, it would be super easy to just dismiss it all by going "None of this matters + it's just personal attacks, people are allowed to call each other mean names on the internet," which is also true.

I will also point out that it is a bit ironic to be in the thread demanding people give you proof of what happened, when the person you're defending has cropped out discord chat logs as their only "proof" of this situation.

most of gios criticisms in the disputes article are of Andrew hussie, not the homestuck 2 team. the main occasion when the homestuck 2 team is referenced at all is when they made public comments on social media disparaging Gio and Sarah z. he also mentions joining a discord server they operated at one point where the disparaging comments were made. he leaves snarky comments about this and complains that this is bad behavior. you can say Gio is equally guilty of inflammatory rhetoric, but at no point does he ask anyone to harass or attack the homestuck 2 trans social media.
